Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....

Mushrooms!
With all the rain we've been getting, lots of mushrooms are popping up all over the place! Some are quite beautiful, too.
Didn't want to forget about the gang - stomping down the stairs after their treats were all gone!
More rain is forecasted for today and tomorrow...... (sigh)
Wish I knew which ones were safe to eat, since I don't - I have to buy them. Fresh mushrooms fried in butter and garlic - mmmmmm! Or stuffed, which are even better!
Don't eat the mushrooms!

DeleteMy aunt (who lived on a farm for years) used to go out and pick mushrooms and fry them up with butter. Great stuff.
