The coop needs a really good clean-out. Because Nina spends the entire day and night in the coop, it is pretty darn poopy in there.
I go through the nest box hatch and pick up Nina to put her in the pen. When I lift her up, I see Lucy's and Ethel's eggs! How in the world did they get into Nina's nesting box?
Since I have no idea how long she has been sitting on them, they have to be thrown out.
While the rest of the coop is being cleaned, I find two more eggs in one of the corners.
Now I have to go find hubby to see if he is playing a joke on me...
Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....
