The gang

Wilma and Betty. Wonder what they are clucking about?
They chatter to each other all the time.
I'm so glad I picked these two to bring home to Coopville!

Waiting to see what is  in the 'treat bag' :

Cleaned the coop out on Monday and put in fresh bedding.
The girls came in to re-arrange the hay:

The inspection went well and they left when Charlie called for them:

Oh, the damn deer are back....

It rained all day yesterday. Our rain gauge filled up to the one inch mark. We really, really need more. A lot of the nearby ponds are almost empty. Joisey was hit pretty hard with the drought this year.

  1. Hope you get the rain you need. Wish some would swing by Harry Flashman's place, too.

    1. I just hope any of the wet stuff comes in the form of rain and not snow this Winter!

  2. We've been getting some good steady rain/sun/rain here in NC WA of late. The planted winter wheat is looking so green! I'm so happy for the farmers. Now, if we get a good snow pack in the Cascade Mountains, maybe our drought will be over...for next summer, anyway.

The gang looks wonderful and happy!

    1. It's been so dry all over this year - our garden didn't do well either.
Snow will be welcome in places where no one has to slosh through! The gang is soooo spoiled.... I almost feel sorry for the others I couldn't bring home with me!

    1. There was a little bit of sleet mixed in with the rain, but not much.

  4. Your gang makes me smile. :)
Unseasonably warm here still. Rain and maybe snow in the forecast. I vote for just rain!
