How about a view of the Wabash Cannonball tonight?

And a song about this great steam train:

  1. Great video and one of my favorite songs. Performed by a country music legend.
    NKP 765 has quite a history https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nickel_Plate_765

  2. Fond memories of my Dad singing this song, off key, while rocking his babies to sleep. Seeing the actual Wabash Cannonball is beyond awesome.

  3. What's the 'Grand Old Opry', CM? As a Canadian kid up here in Alberta, for us it was a TV show that came on before Walt Disney for country music that sounded just like that...

  4. Glen, Canadian Hank Snow made his first appearance on the Opry January 7, 1950. There is even a stamp. http://canadianstampnews.com/otd-hank-snow-debuts-grand-ole-opry/
He did a lot of train songs, including Wreck of the Ol 97.
