Happy Mother's Day to all the special women out there who gave and gives a child
unconditional love...
unconditional love...
I miss you, Mom.
Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....
Though I don't see her enough, I'm still blessed to have mine. I called her last night and told her that I love her, My sister is taking her out to lunch today, I believe.
ReplyDeleteYou are truly blessed, Gorges. I'd give up everything just to hug mine again.
DeleteAnd a Happy Mothers Day to you.
ReplyDeleteIt is also National Train Day. Or yesterday depending on which web site you look at.

Thank you! Every day is National Train Day! Toot-Toot!
DeleteHappy Mothe s Day!! I too would love just to be able to hear my mmas voice once more :')
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day to you too Mamahen! I know what you mean - just one more time.
DeleteHappy Mother's Day to you... I hope it is happy, too. Almost every memory I have of my time with my Mother is happy, although there are some things I would like to do over, there is NOTHING I can think of for her to do over. She was perfect.
ReplyDeleteI was just listening to some music and came across Suzie Boggus's "Letting Go". (Her voice is beyond compare.)
Here's the music video on Youtube:

It was hard for me, when I left home, but it must have been really Hell for my Mumma. She was the kind who would never stand in the way, and thus I never really thought about the effect it would have on her when I left, all full of my dreams of the future... When I listened to this song I just sat here and cried...
Mummas are very special, the Good Ones...
I just lit a candle for Mumma. I need to do that more often.

NOT a crybaby, (especially not at 65 years old). Except sometimes.
Thank you, Cap'n Jan. Our Moms would have been the best of pals! I miss sharing my life with her - all the joys and all the sorrows. I miss her hugs and I miss her smile. We are both so lucky! :o)
ReplyDeleteYes, we certainly are... lucky. I am blessed by my choice of parents every day, they are who I am. I can't help but wish they were with me still.
DeleteFair Winds and Following Seas and always a Safe Port at the end of the Journey!

I miss mine, too. But I have wonderful memories to cherish! :o)
DeleteI drove three hours to see my mother. I washed her car, bought dinner Saturday night, then took her out for breakfast this morning. Drove three hours back home. No internet at mom's, so this was a real sacrifice.
ReplyDeleteYou ARE a good son! (And especially to travel where there is no internet) Your Mom did appreciated what you did, believe me! 'Hope you both enjoyed the time spent together!
DeleteI am a saint.
DeleteYou wear your halo modestly - I'm sure your Mom thinks so too!
