Friday there were two good eggs in the same nest box! They don't seem to mind that
plastic egg at all!
That's Shirley's egg on the left and Laverne's on the right.
The extra calcium from the crushed oyster shells seems to be working. Shirley's egg shell was a little smoother this time, but still not perfect.
No eggs from either of them on Saturday. :o(
Yesterday there was a rather large one from Shirley. Laverne must have sat in there too because there were loose feathers all around. She's still molting. Poor thing looks as if she's been in a battle!
They haven't pushed the plastic ones out yet - maybe they like the color...
