Any hints?
Hummingbird/robin/chickadee egg? |
Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....

Thank you so much Terry - it is a bluebird egg! Neighbor has a bird house in a tree, but that's about 200 feet away from where I found the egg. Maybe a squirrel stole it? (have bookmarked that site - lots of different boids up here)!
DeleteMaybe Nina stole it since you kidnapped her babies.

She always did bite me after that..... :0(
DeleteI think that is a Robin Egg I have seen those and they are bluish(although it is very late in the year for one)... Blue jays are also notorious for stealing bird eggs btw.
ReplyDeleteOh, my - now I don't know what it is - looks like the bluebird's AND the robin's egg! It's so little and I was surprised to see a yolk in it - the mystery continues...... :0)

ReplyDeleteThat was a good video - thanks for sending! I'll put gloves on and go through those bushes tomorrow and see if there is a nest in there. Chickenmom is turning into Birdhunter.....
