  1. During in my first hitch in the Navy, a watch that was accurate to a minute or so a week was a rare item, and that watch was treasured.
    And no, it was not a sand dial on my wrist.

    1. LOL - sand dial! I like watches and have always worn one. I still have my Mickey Mouse watches from when I was a kid. Thank heavens I never took THOSE apart!

  2. That is a stunning work of art! But I must admit, even if I were wealthy, I wouldn't spend money on it. My first watch, my father taught me to tell time with, was a pink leather band Cinderella Timex watch...he gave me a quarter every time he asked me the time and I answered correctly, and I had to give him a nickle if I was wrong...He bought it for me, when he returned from his second tour in Viet Nam. I have always worn a Timex. Really great post!
