A  big H/T to Terry for sending this to me!

Yes, we have no bananas....

.... Benji doesn't like 'em - They were Charlie's favorite treat.
Sweet-pea won't join the others out in the yard - she uses that time to eat more! At least the girls are now letting her go up on the roosting bar at night!

Finding some green stuff to eat in  one of the raised beds:

It's still cold here - this was yesterday morning:
Brrrrr!

Some piles of snow left:

Moving day....

As a hermit crab grows its shell becomes a tighter fit so eventually the crabs need to move into a bigger one, leading to an amazing exchange.

A big H/T to Donna!!!

An older couple decides to retire for the evening. The husband was almost asleep as his head hit his pillow, but his wife felt a little romantic and wanted to talk.
She says, “You know, when we were courting, you liked to hold my hand”.
Wearily, he reaches across and holds her hand for a few seconds, and then tries to get back to sleep.
A few moments later she says, “After that, you used to kiss me softly”.
Mildly irritated, he turns over and gives her a peck on the cheek and again settles down for the night.
Thirty seconds later she says, “Then after that, you used to bite me lightly on my neck”.
Angrily, he throws back the bed covers and gets out of bed.
“Where are you going?” she asks.
“To get my teeth!”

Friday Night Steam

Restoring a steam powered dragsaw!

A dragsaw or Drag saw is a large reciprocating saw using a long steel crosscut saw to buck logs to length. Prior to the popularization of the chainsaw during World War II , the dragsaw was a popular means of taking the hard work out of cutting wood.

She still hides in the coop.  :o(

Getting her some fresh air. Sitting on my lap at the picnic table:

Such a cute face!

This is the one that goes after her all the time:

She would sit there all day with me!

Hopefully by next week she'll be able to join the rest of the flock again!

Still bloody cold here!!!

Monday:

'

Yesterday it was still cold out - Where oh where did that January thaw go to ??????

It was a beautiful morning though.....

Sweet-pea still won't come out of the coop on her own - I have to go get her and bring her out....

I think today I will lock her out of the coop so she can stay in the pen with the others. She has got to get along - I'm getting tired of all the running back and forth to the coop just to keep an eye on her. Most of her feathers have grown back now and I think she just likes being spoiled!

Chickens are not a s dumb as some people think they are! LOL!

Not much....

..... going on. in Coopville. The weather had turned cold and windy. The local forecaster guru said we will get 5-6 inches of snow before it might turn to rain. We'll just have to wait and see!

Yesterday was a mix of snow squalls, sun and wind:

That is "Chipper". I call her that because the breeder chipped her beak much too short. She's very gentle but isfunny looking!

Sweet-Pea is still afraid to come out and eat, so I feed her in the coop. I hope this stops soon....

Went with the neighbor to the veggie store on the highway . Look at that apple!  LOL!
