When I put the chickens out the other day, I heard rustling in the trees out front.
The vultures were back! They always used to roost in the dead tree that was there.
But during this past summer, it fell down and they found another tree to sleep in.
So glad to see them again! This one took off and kept circling the house again and again.
I love to watch them take off and just soar off into the sky - they are just beautiful in flight!
When I went down to the road later in the day to get our mail, I found out why they were here:
Poor little feller wasn't fast enough to make it across the road - it was all gone in three days.
