A chicken pool

Yesterday was awfully hot and humid. It was so unusual for this late in the Summer. Charlie and the girls were really feeling the heat.



Their run was like a dust bowl, so I filled a hole up with water:



Lucy hogged most of it - she's the fattest, so I guess she felt the heat more. They all got a chance to get their feet wet and cool off a little bit!


Only had one egg and that was from Shirley.

    It was hot here in the afternoon (and again today) but we have had so much rain before that nothing is dry....its just damp n muggy :((

      We haven't really had too much rain this summer - most of it has gone right around us. It's nice out now, warm but no humidity. Might get some rain Saturday & Sunday and then cool down after that.
