It was a beautiful out yesterday - sunny and the temps in the high 30's.
A lot of the snow has melted around the house and that is a good thing except for the damn deer. Now they can have easy access to my trees and bushes.
They have pulled one Rose of Sharon tree right out of the ground and have eaten the tops off of everything else.
If a neighbor didn't feed them all winter, they would go away. Looks as if we are going to have to get some more fence soon. "Deer Away" doesn't work at all.
Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....
Don't you just love the color brown? As for the deer, eat more venison; it's one of the few safe meats left.
ReplyDeleteIt is so drab looking - wanna see some color. Can't plant anything here until the end of May. The deer are too smart. When they hear 'click' they run in the woods! Guess I'm not the only one they visit.
DeleteSorry to hear of the deer damage....I guess every season has some problems ....It was nice here yesterday but they say rain today n cold again tomorrow through the weeknd :/
ReplyDeleteThe deer are like all the bunnies - cute when they are babies; but oh, the damage they do when they grow up!
