Well, we had our little snow storm on Saturday - only about 7 drifting inches of the stuff with a light ice glaze on top. Not really a whoop-dee-do storm like the weathermen were predicting.
It's probably going to be a loooong, cold Winter this year. (again)
Charlie will not go out in the snow anymore - he just hates it. Ethel is molting - her butt is getting bare. I keep lots of hay in the pen so she can snuggle in it during the day.
More light snow scheduled for Monday night and Tuesday - supposed to be light, though.
We'll just have to wait and see.
Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....
Bad time of year to molt!
ReplyDeleteLucky me - I get to make sure her poopies don't freeze on her bare skin overnight....(sigh)
