Blank

Can't think of any tips for 'ya, so here is a picture of Charlie and Ethel:

He is such an odd little fellow. He always hollows out a nest in the hay for his girls and herds them towards it. When the coop is cleaned, he has to inspect it before his ladies can go inside. He will bite them if they try to go first. He even makes a nest in a corner of the coop for them to use.
But they never do. They always poop in it......

  1. "They always poop in it." Are they trying to tell him something? :-)

    1. I think so, Navy - He tries so hard to be ' king of the roost'. But they always keep him in his place!

    1. He really is a good provider and protector, Mamahen. When they are all out in the yard, he doesn't like them to wander off and scolds them if they do.

  3. I've seen roosters act like that....we usually had a few more than you and the less dominant one would pick out 2 or 3 hens n try to pull them away from the rest of the flock and would rule over them

    1. Charlie was sneaky - he did that when Goldie was "busy" with another hen. :0)
