  1. Neat. Do you still have your 20 muel team model. I don't. :(

    1. I only have one or two of the mules left in an old toy box in the attic. You can still get them though:

  3. Yep...I use Borax in making my homemade laundry soap. Don't think I will ever go back to using commercial laundry detergent. Interesting to see how Borax is mined.

    1. Borax just seems to be one of the few old products that I still use like Lava, Fels-Naptha and Ivory soaps!

  6. I sure do use Borax. Use it for a lot of things, including as a 'chemical buffer' for my pool. It helps a great deal in the reduction of sanitizing chemicals (I don't use chlorine, although it does help there as well). My primary sanitizer is 20% peroxide, although biguinide is the second, and THAT is where I get the big boost. I used to use about 2 gallons a month, now it is about half a gallon.

I love the memories, by the way. I remember being able to get the muleteam. Also, although not related, the Budweiser wagon and 8-up hitch. I bought a model for my Dad, as he was 'teamster' (although NOT a member of the union). He once drove a 32-up mule hitch. Back when the first combines came out it took 32 to pull and run the danged things! His normal team was a 2-up matched set of Clydesdales.

Fair Winds and thanks again for the memories! I love the other pics too.

    1. Great story about your Dad - he was a REAL teamster! (Mules are a lot smarter than people give them credit for). Always happy to bring back good memories of times gone by! :o)
