EXPLODE!!!
(No, I will not embarrass myself by posting pictures of the aftermath)
Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....
I didn't know about the eggs. I do, however, know that a chicken, boiling on the stove in anticipation of making chicken and dumplings, will cause the fire department to show up when said chicken boils dry, thus ruining a perfectly good nap. Years ago. If today, the kids would be Googling "nursing homes.) :)
ReplyDeleteOh, Lawdy! We'd be dangerous cooking in the same kitchen! :o)
DeleteYes I knew it because......yes.
ReplyDeleteWhew! Glad I'm not the only one! Did you have trouble getting it off the ceiling too? :o)
DeleteIt's worse when you hear the timer and then say, "I wonder why that is ringing?"
ReplyDeleteAnd did you know that when a teakettle boils dry, there is enough radiant heat to melt the handle? I only know 'cause someone told me.
And oh, the smell of the percolator handle when it catches only a 'little' bit on fire!
Delete...no, you're not the only one.
ReplyDeleteLooks like there are many of us who admit doing this.
LOL We only admit it because we don't know each other! :o)
DeleteNo, I did not know that. I visit this site for all things chicken related and the relevant chicken safety related issues. My kitchen will be much safer.
ReplyDeleteI have also been known to visit for Friday Night Steam but that is another matter.
Oh, the sacrifices I make ... all to keep everyone safe! (Got a good one coming up this week on FNS)! :o)
DeleteDid Big A escape unharmed?
ReplyDeleteLOL! He raced up the stairs when the smoke alarm went off!
