Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....

I have only seen them often due to luckily being at the right place at the right time. I lived in Cassiar, British Columbia which is just below the Yukon border (the place does not exist anymore but there is a Wikipedia entry if anyone is interested, however I digress . . . ) and I have seen them when I visited Whitehorse in the Yukon numerous times. I lived in the Edmonton, Alberta area for a number of years and occasionally you would see them there. Sometimes the colours are quite vivid and they appear to move in the sky. They are quite the sight.
My dad has seen them from clear down here in West Virginia, but I never have.

I have seen them many times ranging from barely noticeable to spectacular ribbons of colour across the sky.

ReplyDeleteI can only wonder at actually being there to see them! The last time I saw them was years ago and it was very faint - but still marvelous!
