straight pens?
These are just a few of the pens that I still use:
Sadly, the only place children will see them in the future is if they visit a museum.
Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....
Good post. I still have my set of drafting pens. I have the four pen set like this:

Technical drawing with ink is an art. I was never very good.
My art can best described as primitive. At worse just bad.

Nice! Did you keep the cork end ink free??? I find that when I write with straight pens, my penmanship gets very flowery - so much so that it looks pretty, but gets harder and harder to read! I wish I still had my Dad's drafting pens, but I do have his drafting tools set in a velvet lined box. He did beautiful calligraphy, too.
