Let's go for a ride....

..... to pay our quarterly taxes!

The corn down the road is getting really tall:

 A barn and silo:

 a really, really old barn:

This is where they happily take our money:

These folks don't have to worry about taxes any more:

 A big pond:

Some Victorian homes on one of the back streets in town:

Was trying to get a photo of the cows, but that darn fence got in the way:

 No traffic - as usual!

'Hope you enjoyed the ride!
:o)

  1. That was fun! You live in such a pretty part of the country with the hills. Especially love those big old houses.

    1. It is nice up here! Lots of older homes and buildings in town, but it's expensive to own a home there. A lot of them are for sale.

Have you tried the Zucchini recipes from Miss Lisa? Yummy

  3. For some unknown reason a part of my brain insists on reading the word "corn" in a stereotype Bostonian accent. Have not quite figured out why.

  9. Where I live disabled vets are exempt from property taxes! I didn't even need to die! You DO live in a beautiful place, that's for sure! My best to you and yours....

    1. Thank you, Mr. Rat! You are lucky! Vets only get a small percentage taken off their tax bill here in Jersey. The land tax is frozen at the current rate when you turn 65, it won't increase, but you have to apply for it. It's not automatic.
