This 'N That

Something tried to get in the pen Wednesday night- a layer of chicken wire was torn off the bottom of the closed gate. Couldn't see any tracks because the ground is frozen. Maybe a raccoon? Good thing the coop is locked at night! Nothing was messed up in the pen, so whatever it was, didn't get in.

I don't know what they are pecking at - all the grass is dead:

A little bird nest in the forsythia bushes:

 Charlie's frostbite:

Damn deer are at it again:

Took our garbage to the re-cycle center. (just can't stand the excitement) The white steeple really stood out against the blue sky:

One of the many abandoned barns along the way:

In seven or eight months from now, the corn in those fields will be so high you won't be able to see those silos in the distance!

:o)

    1. Me too. M.E.! When they are out of the pen I have to stay outside and watch them. Too many coyotes, foxes and hawks.

    1. Might borrow the neighbor's trap, Gorges. Last week there were tracks in the snow that led back to the woodpiles.

    1. It's a nice ride to Lafayette. Mostly farms, though the town is loaded with antique stores. But the best part? A Dunkin Donuts shop is on the way!! :o)

    1. The take out window at Coopville is closed! There was no damage this morning, though and that's a good sign!
