We were lucky...

... only a few days of of rain. The Jersey shore took a beating. I guess we were too far north and west to get much of the storm. The rain was needed and we only lost a couple of branches.

Hubby and I decided we just HAD to go to Tractor Supply the other day and we took the long way to the store. Just love passing this cottage near the very end of our road. The sweetest, elderly woman lives there and does all this work by herself.

A long picket fence surrounds her property and all types of flowers are in bloom from Spring until frost. You just have to smile at the beauty of it!

The trees are really starting to change now with the cooler nights.

Not many people were out - we had the road to ourselves

 More splashes of color:

 Finally saw another vehicle!

I bought a new waterer and some treats for the gang. Hubby bought two tarps and nylon rope. Of course we really, really didn't need them; but handy to have. Just in case....

  1. We love to go to TSC always buy something we really didn't need.

  4. Our trees looked like that a few weeks ago; now they're all bare. I sure do admire that lady's flowers, though.

    1. In another week or two it's going to be spectacular here, Rev. Paul. Fall is the best time in Jersey! The lady is adorable - she even wears an old fashioned apron while gardening. I stopped one day and told her I take the long way home just to look at her garden.
