Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....
Nice! May she RIP...
ReplyDeleteShe will be missed - Hollywood doesn't make stars like her anymore. :o(
DeleteWhat a lovely song, and an old one too... An original sung ghost story...

Another note... I always wondered what was meant by 'by your lack of kind' in the lyrics, but I just read somewhere that it MIGHT, in fact, mean 'coin', where it is pronounced kine in Irish brogue (and in Scottish brogue as well, as I can hear my father saying kine, for coin.)
ReplyDeleteWe'll watch one of her movies tonight in her honor, and lift a glass to her wonderful self. Blessed we are, to have had her among us.
Fair Winds,
Cap'n Jan
The old Irish love songs are so sad and haunting. My paternal Grandmother was Irish. (She was one feisty little lady, too!) I watched "The Quiet Man" the other day - just love that movie. :o)
