Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....
Well, now that was just fascinating! The machine we had was 'forbidden to me'. I was not allowed in the washroom when I was a little kid for fear of my curiosity getting the best of me - I do have an Engineer's heart... (and career).
ReplyDeleteOur lives are so cushy now! I have my 30 year old Maytag and it is a wonder machine. Gets clothes clean because it uses a lot of water. When you're working with animals, or doing outside work a lot, you get your clothes pretty grimy - and a front loader is NOT going to get them clean. It barely uses any water.
To get something clean, you have to get something else dirty ;->

I would love to have an old fashioned wringer/washer. Boy, could they clean clothes! These new ones are terrible. Sometimes I have to re-wash the really grimy clothes by hand. Ugh!!
