Yesterday morning, none of the traps were sprung.
So Hubby took all the cinder blocks away from the coop, cleaned underneath it and put up
deer netting all around the bottom
We cleaned up the back and got rid of all the leaves back there. It's all nice and clean now!
(Just in case it was hiding under there!)

In other news: The girls sure do love the poopie bin!
Charlie wasn't interest in joining them this time!
The gang enjoying the sunny weather -they better enjoy it - snow is forecast for Friday!!!!!
RATS 😡 We haven't had a problem with them, but we fight mice every fall it seems...So far all we are expecting is more rain. This winter can't end soon enough though.

DeleteRATS: We've never seen rats on our property, but with a wheat field behind us, we've sure had mice! Outside the cats get 'em. Inside the cats are awfully good, but those meese's are pretty good at not getting caught. I've used mouse traps, and caught most of them using peanut butter as bait.

WE put globs of it in the rat traps. Plenty of field mice around here with all the farms and hay fields. Don't like them, but it's part of living in the country.

DeletePeanut butter has worked as a good rat bait for me, but I have to put the peanut buttery trap somewhere the dogs can't get to it.
ReplyDeleteSo many cute little critters round here! I wouldn't want any of then or a bird to get caught in a trap. One is under the coop behind the deer netting and the other one is in the hay bin. I put one in the pen after the gang is in for the night.
