It really, really works! I've been doing this for a long time, too. No more boiling water and messy silk to deal with!
Just remember, that ear of corn is going to be very hot when you take it out of the microwave. Use two pot holders!

That is neat.
ReplyDeleteHowever in the South we get out corn from a jar. Listen to lyrics to "Rocky Top".

ReplyDeleteThanks for the link! Poor, poor people - never had sweet Joiesy corn/ :o( It's yummmmmy!
DeleteCorn on the cob is the only way to eat corn. I usually just strip the husks and silk in one pull per side. Very little silk left to deal with. Snap off the stalk end and cut about an inch off the top. Microwave in a bowl with a little water to steam it and covered with plastic wrap for 7 minutes. Ready to eat. Yummmm.
ReplyDeleteI usually nibble off the raw corn off the cut off end. So tender and juicy.
So many ways to eat it - my one son like it grilled; the other one likes it boiled. Anyway you make it, it's always delicious! :o)
