Ah, Thursday...

Yesterday was the perfect summer day - low 80's, sunny and NO humidity! The gang spent almost all day out in the yard, and I cleaned the coop, pen and the run. They had more fun than I did....

Sophia:

 After running around the yard for hours, poor Shirley had enough and just plopped down for a nap:

 

 Laverne joined her for some snooze time. M & S are smart enough to stay away from them.

 None of them were paying any attention to poor Charlie.....

.... so he just HAD to let everyone know he was around:

The girls still don't mix well at all. It's always Laverne and Shirley, Maude and Sophia. Charlie usually stays in between them.

At least I don't have to put M & S up on the roost bar an night anymore. Charlie always goes in the coop first and takes his spot by the big door. Laverne hops up next to him and Shirley is next.

Maude and Sophia wait until I come out right before dark until they'll go in. Sophia hops up first and stays by the hatch door. Then Maude follows her. It look like this at night:

Lots of space left over! In the Winter they will sleep closer together to keep warm.

Sometimes a whole hour will go by without any fights - progress!
