Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....

Sleet
Was supposed to get sleet today.. I prefer the snow - don't need an icy coating over all the white stuff
We had that a coupls of days ago....temps in the forties yesterday n today......but back below freezing tonight they say...Our driveway n yard is still ice?
The stuff is like a layer cake here. snow-ice-snow-ice-and so on. rained all day. ground is so cold that water in my driveway was freezing again immediately after sundown despite a temp of 40 outside.
Roofs are falling in as the snow takes on water and gets heavier.
Warmed up to 40 for about an hour - it 31 now and the top coating of snow is an icy slush - slipped on it when putting the chickens in just now. I hope your roof is going to be OK, Knucklehead
