First frost....

Brrrrrr!

 Frost on the garage roof......

 ..... and on the deck:

The leaves on the ground were encased in it!

 Some flowers, too!

Garden time for the gang! They always find something to eat!

Hubby trying to keep up with the falling leaves!

 Time to light the fireplace!

:o)

  2. It finally dropped below the nineties here...
Yeah I know watcha mean about eating our own hens !
We just let them expire of old age too. Even have an area designated the chicken cemetery.
Waiting for a small batch of four pullets to get old enough to turn out with the others, they're only seven weeks now and are Plymouth Bard Rock. But we have an eight year old grumpy Rhode island that wouldn't be kind to them...

    1. Way too hot!! I keep all the girls until Nature takes them - even if it's a short life, it's a good one. I have Rhode Island Reds and a Breda rooster - he's a sweetheart!
