Charlie's feathers

Charlie is a rooster that only Chickenmom can love. He's molting and growing in new feathers at the
 same time:

Still has ONE tail feather left.

(Surprised it didn't fall out with the all the goings on in the poopie bin)

His neck feathers are starting to grow back:

Up close, it seems he's growing miniature paint brushes:

Maude still tries to pick on them whenever she get a chance.

Some of the new ones look like little Q-tips, too!

No new ones are coming in where he has been bald for years.

Poor, poor Charlie.....

  1. Charlie does have a time of it, doesn't he! I worry about that last tail feather. It would be tough on his ego if it fell out and he looked more like a hen than a rooster. :) Even with all that, I still think he is a handsome devil.

    1. He'll always thinks he will be handsome - even when he is completely bald and looks like a girly chicken! I should show him a mirror! :o)
