Have to let one of the roosters go. Poor Ethel and Lucy are exhausted from the two boys. I would have to wait until Spring to get more hens, though. It's really not fair to the girls.
They are missing feathers on their backs and are getting bald on top of their heads. AND they have stopped giving me eggs.
Goldie is so handsome, but turning out to be a real stinker. Plus, he is getting mean.Very mean.
Charlie isn't so good looking, but he is very tame. Or on the other hand, I can get rid of them all and start fresh the following year.
They're only chickens, right? Right?
We always ate our meanest cows. Don't know if that helps any! ;-)
