Still quiet....

........except for Hubby and his log splitter:

A beautiful BLUE sky:

Neighbor's horse soaking up the sun's rays:

(Notice the damage the dang woodpeckers have done to our tree on the right)

A good treat for the gang: green beans, apples, grapes, tomatoes, carrot shavings and celery:

Yesterday morning when I let them out. Brrrrrrr!

:o)

  1. Good morning, Mom. I'm guessing the pictures are yesterday, unless you're in Europe. ;)

You posted a video of the UP big boy a few weeks back, the Great Northern had a similar version of one of those. The link is of an HO scale train, and I can't find any videos of these operating, but I'm sure you can imagine how they would sound.

    1. The details on that model is wonderful! A wee bit out of my price range though! :o)

  2. That means the tree was full of bugs (and rot), so it might as well be cut.

  3. We are at 20 this morning in Philly, brrr. Not used to this at all.

Science should get busy on a robot for the heavy lifting and stacking of wood splitting.

    1. We went through a lot of wood so far this Winter already, John. Hubby doesn't mind stacking it - keeps him out of trouble! LOL! :o)

  4. Yep, Pileated woodpeckers don't do that for fun. Must be full of big juicy grubs.

    1. They sure are pretty birds, Birdchaser - but they really do a lot of damage here in Coopville. They even attack the telephone poles on our road!
