Remember those ads that were in the back of every comic book?

What did YOU send for??
Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....
THAT'S been a while!
ReplyDeleteIt sure has been! The comic books were only 10 cents back then! I even remember the smaller ones that only cost a nickel. Golly, I AM old........
DeleteI sent away for a poster of Dracula. I've still got it.
ReplyDeleteMight be worth something someday, Flyer! My brother & I pooled our allowance together for a couple of weeks and ordered the cars and trucks. They were just stamped plastic - no wheels that actually turned- Oh well, we had fun with them anyway! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteThat's sure a blast from the past. Bet the comic books cost a nickel.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed see those old ads, Borepatch! What kid didn't read comics back then? I still have some old ones laying around in a box somewhere. - No first issues though - darn...!
