Winter Storm Warning

URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...A Major Coastal Storm with Significant Impacts...

.A pair of low pressure systems today will consolidate into one
major Nor`easter later tonight and Wednesday. This is expected to
bring significant impacts to our region, starting with areas of
mixed precipitation today and tonight, then significant snowfall
during Wednesday. Consideration should be given to no unnecessary
travel Wednesday afternoon and evening when the heaviest snow
with hourly accumulation rates of 1 to 3 inches should occur.

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 2 AM
EDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow
  accumulations of 8 to 14 inches are expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northern New Jersey.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 2 AM EDT Thursday. Snow mixed
  with sleet and perhaps freezing rain at times will develop this
  afternoon and especially this evening, then change to all snow
  overnight and continue heavy at times Wednesday. The snow will
  taper off Wednesday evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on difficult travel conditions,
  including during the evening commute on Wednesday. Significant
  reductions in visibility are expected. Roads especially in the
  hilly areas may become impassable if 1 to 3 inches per hour
  snowfall rates develop as expected Wednesday afternoon. Power
  outages are possible. Northeast to north winds should gust 20 to
  30 mph at times.

    1. Will do - just going outside to make sure the coop and pen will be kept warm with plenty of hay and shavings. I'll even hide little treats for them in the coop! I sure do hope this is the last of Winter!! :o) Ugh!

    1. So far they got it all wrong - Not even enough to worry about - and ALL the schools were closed today! Our road is just starting to get covered. Maybe we'll get more tonight..... Stay cozy!
