Power outage

Had heavy rain Monday night into Tuesday.  We lost power in the mid morning. Bummer - no electric - no internet! (and no second pot of coffee). Called the electric co-op and they said it was out just on our road and that it should be back on soon. Didn't want to start up the generator for just a couple of hours, so I let the oil lamps shed some light:

I lit two of them - one for the kitchen table and the other to place on the counter.

 Guess which one had the cleaner glass!

The power came back on in the afternoon. And so did the rain:

That ended and the sun came out for a little bit:

And then some thunderstorms. Typical summer weather when it gets warm and humid!

I didn't let the gang out in the yard - didn't feel like running after them in the mud.

 Poor things had to have their treats while stuck inside the pen!
