Thunder storms!

Had some big thunderstorms roll through here yesterday afternoon -

Lots and lots of heavy rain and even some small hail!

So glad I let Charlie and the girls run around in the morning for a few hours. They spent the rest of the day in the pen and coop. Today, I have a LOT of mud to clean up! Oh, joy......

Need computer help :o(

I have a Toshiba Satellite C855-S5350 laptop. I bought in March, 2013. When the power cord is plugged in, the battery icon says it is 100%  fully charged. When I unplug it to bring it to another room, the entire laptop shuts down. Kaput. It won't reboot until I plug the power cord in again.

(The battery setting is set to "shut down" only when I push the power on/off button and "sleep" when I close the lid.) The Toshiba 'Health battery monitor' states the battery is good, charged 100 % and is  working properly.

I've looked on the internet and tried all the fixes I could find and understand -  still nothing worked. I even restored it back to the factory settings. (Grrrr)

I would appreciated any suggestions you can offer!

Thank you!

UPDATE:

Seems the battery is my problem - I always kept it "plugged in"  (which I should have not been doing) H/T to Irish for that info - will get a new one next week!  Thank you kind readers for all your suggestions and e-mails!

Every day stuff around here...

Our life is pretty ordinary here in Coopville. Hubby is usually making a lot of noise outside.
Here he is shredding branches. The chips will be used to fill in some of the ruts in the path that leads to the swamp. Nothing goes to waste around here.

Remember I mentioned that I plant my potatoes in cinder blocks? Well, here are some of them:

As they get more leaves, we'll add more dirt to each section.

Some people plant flowers in the deck rail boxes - I plant basil. Comes in so handy when cooking.
I just run out on the deck and snip off a few leaves. The aroma is wonderful!

During the Winter, I grow a bunch on my kitchen windowsill, too.
