Cleared up and Hubby started on putting up the deer fence around the garden:
This should keep the darn damn deer out!

The fence helps, but we've seen our local deer jump a four foot fence with room to spare.
ReplyDeleteWe added some some electricians metal tubing extensions to some of the fence posts and strung clothesline and some rag strips to add a fluttery deterrent.
We used EMT because it was on hand.
In the movie "Aliens" there is a deleted scene where automated motion sensing machine guns are set up and used against the creatures. That would be just awesome against the deer.

DeleteThey PROBABLY won't jump into that small of an enclosure, but you never know. They can actually jump an 8' fence while STANDING beside it.
ReplyDeleteThey jump over our from stone wall all the time - don't know how they don't break their legs when they land down on the road, Gorges. We've watched a herd of 10-12 do it!
