I'd put the streamlined engine at the top of the list of most beautiful American steam locomotives.
ReplyDeleteBut when they were built their demise was already on the horizon because diesels were making them as dead as dinosaurs.
I didn't know that the only operation Class J was as close to us as Strasburg Railroad in September of 2019. That would have been just awesome to see in person.
