Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....
During in my first hitch in the Navy, a watch that was accurate to a minute or so a week was a rare item, and that watch was treasured.
ReplyDeleteAnd no, it was not a sand dial on my wrist.
LOL - sand dial! I like watches and have always worn one. I still have my Mickey Mouse watches from when I was a kid. Thank heavens I never took THOSE apart!
DeleteThat is a stunning work of art! But I must admit, even if I were wealthy, I wouldn't spend money on it. My first watch, my father taught me to tell time with, was a pink leather band Cinderella Timex watch...he gave me a quarter every time he asked me the time and I answered correctly, and I had to give him a nickle if I was wrong...He bought it for me, when he returned from his second tour in Viet Nam. I have always worn a Timex. Really great post!
ReplyDeleteHa! I had one of those too! The watch was packaged inside a plastic shoe just like the one Cinderella wore. Thanks for the memory, Lisa!
DeleteYes it was! My pleasure...I enjoyed it myself!! Thank you!
