.... in old tools!
I still have my Grandpa's and Dad's tools.......
:o)
Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....
What beautiful, useful things. I have some of my Dad's.
ReplyDeleteI treasure them - one of these days I'll do a post on them along with his wonderful wooden tool chest! :o)
DeleteYou showed some dandies!
ReplyDeleteI knew you would like them, Gorges! :o)
DeleteA modern made manual micrometer isn't very different from the one in the photo.
ReplyDeleteI still have an eggbeater drill somewhere in the toolboxes.
The engraved pliers tool is so beautiful I wouldn't ever take it from its exotic wood storage box.
Can you imagine the time it took to make them! :o)
DeleteLove these:))
ReplyDeleteWho doesn't love tools like these. Mamahen? :o)
DeleteI, too, have Dad's and Grandad's tools as well, some that are totally unnecessary nowadays. I especially love the old offset drill and arbor set, everything's original!
ReplyDeleteThey built them to last. No Chinesium there!!
They are really works of art, igor! Thanks for stopping by! :o)
