Quiet day....

                                  ..... yesterday.

We buried Lucy by the stone wall in the back. Glad that is over.

Since it was such a nice day the gang spent several hours out in the yard. They loved being on the grass and dirt again. There are just tiny patches of snow left which they avoided. When I got tired of watching them they went back for their afternoon treat.



Charlie heard the rooster crowing from the farm in back of us. He hopped up on the branch that is in the pen and answered him. They have been doing this for years now.


Wonder what would happen if they ever met each other .......

    It's funny to listen to. They go back and forth crowing at each other several times a day. The other rooster sounds small, like Charlie.

    You're welcome! Of my first 6 chicks, three were roosters - now THAT was a lot of noise! :o)
