.... spent the night in the coop. Lots of fireworks for a while before everything calmed down.
I kept Goldie, Oscar, Nina, Lucy and Ethel in the pen until is was dark (they didn't like that). Amos, Andy and Charlie were already bedded down in the hutch.
When the others started to march into the coop, Nina waited inside behind the door and bit Goldie as he went in. He screamed and the others started in. What a racket!
After a while, when it was quiet, I went to the coop with a flashlight and peeked in. Ethel, Lucy, Oscar and Nina were on the roost all nice and chummy. Warrior Goldie was at the other end all by himself. At least he wasn't hiding in one of the nest boxes. Should be fun when daylight arrives.....
Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....
