Charlie, Betty and Maude came up on the deck for a visit (and some treats) :
Poor Maude - she's gone into a hard molt!
Now is not a good time of year for that! It seems like she lost most of her feathers overnight:
I checked the coop later on and it was covered in her feathers!
Poor old girl - I feel so sorry for her - even her head is going bald:
Hopefully they will grow back before the really cold weather gets here!
