Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....

Don't fence me in!
So many different types of wooden fences! Every region has their favorite and a lot just depended upon what was locally available.
But the best part of a fence is the gate to welcome you in!
Is the last one called a "kissing gate"? Looks similar to one I kind of like but I don't know what is called. No moving parts, large animals can't pass but people can. Looks something like this ------->---------- . The fence on the left extends into the "V" part. Terry Fla.
Around here most people only fence in a portion of their back yards to keep the bear and deer out. We only have rock walls so we get lots of our four legged neighbors visiting!. :o)

Had to look that up - never heard of that type of gate! The pic does look like it could be one of those!
