We had sleet all day long

and on the clothes line and bird feeder:
Even the run fence was coated with it!
All the trees were coated too!
The new tarp on the pen developed a BIG leak.
The ice was pretty thick - at least it will keep the deer away for a while!
Even though the trees in the front were heavy with it, none came down (so far).
I would rather see snow......
Always HATE ice....usually lose power here if we get ice :((

DeleteIce is the worst, we used to have 15 big oak trees in the backyard at our last house and an ice storm really did a number on them and me. My husband was at work while they were crashing into our house, deck and yard. Yikes!
ReplyDelete'Hope you weren't hurt! When we bought this place, the insurance company made us take down all the big trees that hung over the house or they wouldn't insure us. The previous owner had not cut any down since 1979 and the property was already heavily wooded.
