..... going on. in Coopville. The weather had turned cold and windy. The local forecaster guru said we will get 5-6 inches of snow before it might turn to rain. We'll just have to wait and see!
Yesterday was a mix of snow squalls, sun and wind:
That is "Chipper". I call her that because the breeder chipped her beak much too short. She's very gentle but isfunny looking!
Sweet-Pea is still afraid to come out and eat, so I feed her in the coop. I hope this stops soon....
Went with the neighbor to the veggie store on the highway . Look at that apple! LOL!
:o)
I know there's a good reason for it, but clipping the beak always seemed like treating the symptom rather than the cause to me.
ReplyDeleteShe has a lot of trouble eating, Gorges - she has to scoop up feed with the bottom part of her beak because she can't grab any food. The breeder said she would exchange her, but I said no - she would have been culled. I give her stuff that she can eat for treats. She likes grapes cut up in small pieces! At least she has a chance to have a good life in Coopville.
DeleteYou are a good chicken mommy:))
ReplyDeleteThey have me pegged, Mamahen - the old "softie" will take anything....
