Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....

Dear readers
Thank you so much for your prayers, comments, e-mails and cards. Your compassion has helped us get through this very trying time.
We are slowly getting over the shock of losing our son, but we are also so grateful for the 50 years of wonderful memories he gave us.
Even though there is still much to do, I've decided to keep the blog going starting next week, as it will be good to return to a routine and get back to some sort of normal living once more.
Again, thank you for your concern and prayers as they really did help us. We are so very, very grateful to all of you.
Charlie and the girls are fine - they are probably wondering why I'm not chasing after them with the camera....
Phyl & Hubby
