This was just a light snow:
Slamming against the patio doors:
In the front of the house:
The barometer as the storm gets closer:
We heard it fall:
The sound of the wind was unbelievable!!!
How that tree missed the barn - we will never know:
But the poor car got a direct hit:
The coop and the gang were safe!!!!!
Everything was encased in ice:
We were without power for only 28 hours - the internet came back on later Saturday evening!!
From yesterday:
It's going to take a loooong time to clean up all the broken branches and limbs:
This is what's left of the tree that smashed the car -
Hubby was busy!!:
A tree behind the back stone wall:
The mud:
And another storm is due on Wednesday......
So glad everyone is safe, even the little Junco dancing around outside in the first movie. The car, not so much. Awful
ReplyDeleteThank you! All the little birdies know where the big softie lives... LOL! They tap on the glass patio doors for food too - just like Charlie!
DeleteOh my! Glad you are ok .
ReplyDeleteThanks, James - No people or chicken damages - just the car and trees - we were lucky, really!
DeleteWe were hit pretty hard too with snow. But luckily no dame or outage in our area. But surrounding areas had outages. Glad the birds and you guys are okay. Another storm? Please stay safe.
ReplyDeleteThat word "dame" should have been damage. Sigh....my fingers are too fast! Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteLOL, Theresa! We spent today getting gasoline for the generator, food from the grocery store and hay for the gang - tomorrow we hit Tractor Supply for chicken feed and shavings. Another storm on the way!!
DeleteSorry you had the damage. Glad none of your buildings or animals (or yourselves) were hurt.
ReplyDeleteOh, Gorges - it could have been a lot worse! Hubby, me and the gang are all safe and sound - just lots and lots of clean up to do! Some sections of the county still don't have power!
DeleteYIKES!! How awful!
ReplyDeleteWe got snow over the weekend here in the upper left corner of the U.S.,
but nothing - NOTHING to even mention after looking at what you got.
Poor car. Poor Hubby. Poor YOU!
Happy and safe Gang, tho. Glad to know that!
Really, REALLY looking forward to Spring!!! The snow I can take (even though I complain about it) but the wind - YUCK! Sounded like a steam train running through here for two days! It was worse at night because you can't see what is going on. But we're tough old coots! LOL!
DeleteHa! Seems like your Friday Night Steam revisited you!
DeleteMaybe I shouldn't post on Fridays anymore.... It's a jinx!!
DeleteSo very glad to see you guys and the critters made it through the storm ok! Sorry about the car, but they can be replaced.
ReplyDeleteStay safe!
Thanks, Brig! If the wind had gotten worse, I would have let the gang loose in the garage just so they could be safer- We are surprised the barn didn't get hit - the tree fell around it!
DeleteI'm happy you all are safe, but oh my the damage. I HATE wind!!!
ReplyDelete"They" say tomorrow's storm will be just snow - not the horrible winds like the last one! Maybe they will be right for a change!!
