The weather warmed up a wee bit and we had a lot of rain. Most the snow went away but left a lot of mud. Supposed to get colder today, so hopefully it will freeze and make it easier to walk outside.
There was so much water from the melted snow around the pen, the gang didn't even want to wade through it to get to drier ground. Hubby had to dig drainage ditches all around to let the water run off.
It was quiet for a change. Not much going on and the day ended with a beautiful sunset:
:o)
Beautiful sunset pics.
ReplyDeleteOh how I wish I had a better camera! These pics do not do our sunsets justice!
DeleteFeeling tired.
ReplyDeleteSame thing I ran into, my energy level is returning as an inverse to number of times I cough and blow my nose each day.
Instead of drainage ditches, perhaps the chickens needed little buckle up galoshes. And raincoats and rain hats. No umbrellas, 'cause that is just not going to work.
Take care.
Glad you are feeling a wee bit better, John. Take your nippy-naps - they really do help to get through the day! LOL on the rain gear!!! Would love to see the gang in boots! Have a fave print in my office by Rudi Hurzlmeier - a crow in boots walking across a field! :o)
