Please keep my older brother, Abby in your prayers. Hubby and I just finished two, hundred mile round trips to the hospital. His heart is giving out and there is no hope for recovery and he knows it. They are making him comfortable so he will not be in any pain. I am devastated - and heart broken.
Please pray for him - thank you...
So sorry to hear about your brother. I WILL keep all of you in prayer.
ReplyDeleteI am so very sorry. Prayers for your brother and for you.
ReplyDeletePrayers Up for all of you. I will light the lanterns.
ReplyDeleteA dear friend wrote this, I have gotten comfort from it, and hope that it will be of some small comfort to you as well.
A letter for you.....
I will light the lanterns....
I will walk you Home....
Please don't be afraid now....
the others ,they walk among us, so we won't be alone...
Your path you've made is smooth now...the trip it won't be long...
And then I will have to leave you...at the gate of "Good and STRONG"
The ones that held you dearly, will have to stay behind.
But you are always with us.....and you will leave a sign....
In the garden, in a book, in a quote from a friend....you will be there with me.....
The table is set for you....I will let you go.....
But we will Light the lanterns, and we will always KNOW....
The oriole at the feeder, the statue in the back.
I'm GRATEFULL our paths crossed and we walked together with our guides
I'll see you when I get there... and give hugs to all the rest.
I will stay behind this trip...
BUT I WILL DO MY BEST!!

ReplyDeleteI am in too, CM. God bless.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry, sweetie. Terry alerted me and I wish your family the best of luck.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your brother. You and your family are in my thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear about another loss in you life. Your cyber family is here for you and wish you strength and love from all of us.
ReplyDeleteI have never met you, and most likely will never in this life. But it gives me sadness to hear you are hurting through loss. Perhaps it is because we all have had, at this age, a brush with this almost unendurable pain. But we endure if somewhat diminished.
ReplyDeleteAgain, so sorry for you, Chicken Mom, you have given us all so many smiles. I hope all your friends can give you some, in turn.
When I lost my Dad, the center of my life, someone sent a card with this poem by James Whitcomb Riley, and I keep it with Dad's obituary in my desk.
“He Is Not Dead
I cannot say, and I will not say
That he is dead. He is just away.
With a cheery smile, and a wave of the hand,
He has wandered into an unknown land
And left us dreaming how very fair
It needs must be, since he lingers there.
And you—oh you, who the wildest yearn
For an old-time step, and the glad return,
Think of him faring on, as dear
In the love of There as the love of Here.
Think of him still as the same. I say,
He is not dead — he is just away."
I wish you peace,
Cap'n Jan
