Mostly about my backyard chickens. (Boring, I know), but there are a lot of us out here. Mine are only kept as pampered pets. I could eat a neighbor's chicken, but not MINE. There may be a comment on current events only if I get riled up enough. And there will always be a cartoon or a joke to cheer us. I promise to try my very best to respond to comments. Now I have to figure out how this blogger thingy works....

Need a new road?
Just call these guys!
Mesmerizing aerial footage captures the sight of a road crew laying asphalt on a dirt road in Western Australia
And woe betide your windshield! They do the same thing in Butler County, Kansas. Almost every one who resides in rural areas of the county has a crack running the length of the windshield.
I believe that's what they call "tar and chip." It's the po' boy version of asphalt.
ReplyDeleteGuess it would be just too expensive to really use asphalt, Gorges. Lots and lots of miles!
DeleteHow fast do they actually do that. Sure not that fast here in Kalifornistan...
ReplyDeleteAnd probably would cost more, too! :o)

ReplyDeleteAll our back roads are done like that - and now even the patches have patches on them! :o)
